Sam Delijani, GIA Graduate Gemologist, Owner
Sam Delijani always had an ability for crafting and fixing the nearly unfixable. Working as a young man in his father's Beverly Hills antique store, these qualities began to flourish, restoring rickety time-worn antiques and vintage jewelry into beautiful landmarks of time. After three years of hard work with his father in the antique business, Sam decided it was time to follow his real passion in life: jewelry design.
In 2000, Sam enrolled in the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, Calif., to pursue a degree in gemology. He quickly discovered that he had made the right choice. The design course, in particular, helped pave the way toward his future endeavors as a jewelry designer.
Graduating with his degree in March 2001, Sam became a GIA graduate gemologist and landed a job with a high-end jewelry company in San Diego. Climbing through the ranks, his passion and professionalism shined, and he soon became the company's No. 1 salesperson. During those two years working in San Diego, Sam utilized his design savvy and began to implement his signature style by making design modifications to suit each customer's needs.
Working hard and staying focused was always the way Sam lived his life. In 2005, he partnered with Maggie Moore to establish EFA Diamonds, Inc. and its primary retail website, deBebians.com. (The initials "EFA" refer to the name of Sam's father's antique store, European Fine Antiques, which operated from 1999 to 2012.) At last, Sam finally had his own outlet to showcase his jewelry design skills without limitation.

Over the past decade, Sam has designed more than 1,500 engagement rings for clients across the country. One particularly memorable design was the creation of an intricate flower ring, assembled from six separate pieces and accented with 250-plus diamonds. Today, as an experienced jewelry designer, Sam displays great versatility and comfort when collaborating on a new design with a customer, but he always gives credit where credit is due. It's not just Sam's design; it's a combination of the customer's vision and his expertise. Every custom ring represents the coming together of his customer's dreams and the guidance Sam provides to make those dreams a reality.

Maggie Moore, GIA Graduate Gemologist, Owner
Maggie Moore was born in New York, where her connection to jewelry started from birth. Her great grandfather, Louis deBebian Moore, served as director of Tiffany & Co. from 1947 to 1956, and her family tree included those in the silversmith trade. It was evident that this passion passed to Maggie when, as a young girl, she was found going through her mother's jewelry box.
After graduating from college, Maggie enrolled in the gemologist course at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in southern California, and it was during this time that she met her future business partner Sam Delijani. In March 2001, she graduated and became a GIA graduate gemologist.
Living in San Diego and fresh out of GIA, Maggie attained a position at a local high-end jewelry store. Rising to the top of the ranks within the company, she quickly began to shine brightly like the diamonds she cared so much about. Working hard and keeping a level head on her shoulders, Maggie saved her money in the hopes of starting her own business one day.
In 2005, all the hard work was about to pay off. Maggie and Sam went into business together, and deBebians was born — named in honor of her great grandfather, Louis deBebian Moore. Together, Maggie and Sam worked to build a company that provides high quality fine jewelry at an affordable price.
Maggie's expert diamond knowledge has helped countless couples with the tough decision of finding and selecting the best diamond for their needs. "As GIA graduate gemologists, we have the fundamental knowledge to be able to scrutinize each diamond to make sure the customer is getting the best value for his or her money," she says. "At deBebians, professional knowledge and guidance can provide the best of both worlds: excellent quality and a competitive price."
