1/23/12 Debebians and especially Maggie was incredibly helpful when looking for an engagement ring. Everything was completed quickly, and although the first choice of diamond was already taken they helped me find another diamond for the centre. The ring was not overpriced like you can get at other companies either. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a ring, and I hope to do business again with them in the future. Ken B. 1/22/12 I have been married 38 years but I haven't worn a wedding ring for the last 37. I just couldn't tolerate wearing a ring. Recently I decided to give it another try. I discovered tungsten carbide rings and also found rings could now be made a lot more comfortable to wear. I learned one should look for a ring in a tungsten-nickel alloy as opposed to a tungsten-cobalt alloy. After much searching, researching and deliberation, locally and on the internet, I decided the best combination of beauty, a style I liked (8mm, beveled, center matte with polished edges), and a very reasonable price was at DeBebians. I ordered it very late on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. It was sent (free) first class mail the next day and arrived two days later (from CA to WI) on January 21. The ring is gorgeous. I love it, my wife loves it and she loves that I am wearing a ring again after all these years. DeBebians is clearly a quality retailer. My now fiancé and I decided to become engaged and after a referral from a close friend, we were put into contact with Sam and Maggie at Debebians. My fiancé wanted the final decision on the ring to be up to him, but with my input on style and cut of the center stone. Our work schedules are completely different, but Sam and Maggie accommodated us separately. When I arrived, Sam had a number of different options available to me to review. Ultimately, I picked a few settings and cut of stone for my fiancé's final decision. A short time later, my fiancé met with Sam and Maggie to go over the styles that I had picked. They ended up designing something custom, that was exactly what I wanted! Sam's team customized an engagement ring that I couldn't even dream up! When I received the ring, it was absolutely perfect (along with the proposal)! I've received so many compliments on the ring and I've referred each of them on to Debebians. Eric 12/30/11 I just had an incredible positive whirlwind experience with Maggie and Sam and the team at DeBebians - I imposed HUGE deadlines and big expectations and seemingly unrealistic guidelines and all were met with grace and professionalism. My entire company chipped in to purchase a gift for our boss that involved custom engraving and a difficult diamond setting. The first time around, my instructions had not been clear and we had to re-do the ring prior to presentation. No Problem. Once I clearly voiced what I wanted done, Maggie and Sam paid very careful attention to the step by step process and were STILL able to provide us with our gift within the deadline that we had imposed (end of year as a company gift). In less than five weeks, we had a beautiful custom gift that we are proud to share with our boss. I am flabbergasted to read the negative post here as we had nothing but a good experience with this small but mighty company. (If there were a complaint at all - it would be that parking is a bear in this part of town...but they have nothing to do with this!) While we did not purchased engagement or wedding rings or other diamond pieces, our purchase was equally as important and emotionally charged because it was a thank you to our boss from the entire company. There was a great deal of responsibility to deliver everyone's perception of beautiful and we were all invested in the outcome. The etching and finishing is amazing. And it is weird how it feels both lightweight by being titanium, AND it feels substantial to hold and on my finger. I think that what contributes to this is the fact that the outside of the band with the celtic/norse etching is flat, while the inside of the band is beatifully rounded for comfort and smoothness. The customer service was very good and they were very patient with my many, many questions. The ring showed up yesterday and I think it is "perfect". I will definitely shop with this company again. Ron 12/18/11 My fiance and I started our ring shopping after doing a bunch of online research. We went to see a ring designer friend-of-a-friend, who gave us some tips on what to look for and what to watch out for. So with all of this knowledge we set out to the diamond district to have a look. We looked at loose diamonds and split shank halo ring settings. Going to the diamond district gave us a good idea of what an "E" diamond should look like vs what a "G" diamond should look like. Plus it gave us a good idea of what kind of diamond would fit into our budget. If you are ring shopping you should definitely do this. Next we decided to go to Robbins Brothers to see what they had available, given they claim to be the "world's largest engagement ring store." It was a nice store. They have a large selection. We did find one ring that we liked. Unfortunately, Robbins Brothers could not find us a diamond (over a period of 3 weeks) that did not have a ton of inclusions in them. In fact, the sales person showed us one diamond that had a big black spot on one side, that he wanted $7k for...Umm, I DON'T THINK SO!! We were not having fun ring shopping anymore. We had wasted 3 weeks of our time waiting for so called amazing diamonds from different stores. None of Robbins Brothers diamonds are amazing. They are extremely over priced inclusion ridden diamonds. Whether the diamond came from the San Diego store or a store in Texas all of the diamonds we saw were sub-par and with ridiculous price tags. I do not recommend buying your ring here!! You will be wasting your money!! By this point we knew that we needed to look else where. I came across the DeBebians website and fell in love with one of their rings. I on-line chatted with Jackie (A Wonderful Ohio Fan). She informed me that we could come in for an appointment that day. I was excited to see what the ring looked like in real life. We met with Sam. He is very friendly and attentive. He showed us the ring I had seen on-line along with a few others that interested me. Already there was a difference. The ring I liked at Robbins Brothers did not have the sturdy feel that the DeBebians ring had. The pave was absolutely amazing. Everything we saw was extremely good quality. We selected a ring setting we fell in love with. Next was to find a diamond. From what we learned most of the time you find a diamond first and then find a setting, but that didn't really feel right to us. So, we I guess did it backwards. :-) Enter Maggie. Maggie is an amazing stone finder. We were so overwhelmed with looking for a loose diamond at the diamond district and on-line that we put our complete trust in Maggie to find us our perfect diamond. Three days later Maggie had found us the most AMAZING diamond for substantially less than anything we had seen anywhere else. My advice to anyone who is looking for a diamond, don't go at it alone. Get expert help. Guess what??? Maggie is an expert. Let her help you!!!!! You will not be disappointed. She knows what she's doing. She can spot, excuse the pun, a diamond in the rough. She found us a diamond we didn't think was possible to find at a price that was a steal compared to everywhere else we had looked. Once we had all the pieces picked out Sam sent all of this information to his designer. Once the design was complete, Sam sent us an email with the CAD drawing of the ring. Once approved, a wax mold of the ring was made. We made an appointment to see it in person. It was very interesting. Less than 2 weeks later our ring was completed. We came to pick it up. It is absolutely gorgeous!!! Sam informed us of how to care for the ring, how to check to make sure the diamonds are not loose, and to bring it in to be cleaned every 6-9 months. In addition, he gave us our diamond certification and appraisal paperwork. Our DeBebians experience was wonderful. We will do business again with them in the future. I mean this girl really knew her stuff and since I know a bit about diamonds and I had already checked many online retailers who had bad review after bad review and high BBB complaints and so forth she really made me feel comfortable with her knowledge and confidence you heard in her voice while speaking about the product it just oozed from her that she was the "real deal" GIA graduate who took her craft seriously because there is nothing that she did not wan me to know about all my options and choices and explained the return policy. Maggie was so nice as she did not try and rush me off the phone and I could tell she was actively listening to my concerns about making a big purchase online and I know once she heard me speak intelligently about what I wanted and she saw that I knew what I was looking for she really went above and beyond and put her concentration on me and my needs. I told her I would get back to her in one day after I thought about it and kept my word and worked with her on my purchase and she herself hand picked my diamonds and the product I received was much more than I expected and my wife is no doubt going to love the (1cttw) round awesome studs. Maggie made this the best online jewelry purchasing experience that one could have and I told her I would definitely be doing more business with them in the future but would only work with her. I would for sure recommend friends to them for all of there future jewelry needs. Their price was $2000 plus. Then I found this website and the ring I had my heart set on was $1000. I was a bit skeptical since I had never ordered jewelry without seeing it in person. My expectations were greatly exceeded! The communication with Jaclyn was timely and helpful. Shipping was quick, and when the ring arrived I was ecstatic about the obvious quality. 9/6/11 EFA Diamonds has a fantastic business going. I ordered my ring over the phone while I was in Afghanistan. I wasn't planning on ordering it over the phone but the person I talked to (Maggie) was so knowledgeable and so friendly that I decided to just go for it. I couldn't decide on which size to get, so I ordered 3 of them, 1 size up and down. Maggie even increased the length of the return policy due to my overseas situation. That was all months ago. Now here I am today with the exact ring I want (it was the size smaller, good thing I ordered the other sizes!) and I've returned the other two. I just deposited the return check, they are good to their word. 5 stars, next time I need a ring I know where I'm going. Thanks again guys. Andrew A. 8/3/11 My husband I wanted simple silver wedding bands. We first explored platinum -- Gulp! The price was over-the-top. After exploring further, we decided to go with tungsten, the hardest substance next to diamonds. Our tungsten-carbide bands are guaranteed to never scratch; and, so far, they haven't! They shine like mirrors. We get a lot of compliments on them, and unlike platinum, we'll never have to have the scratches buffed out. DeBebians was even able to offer the ring a nice fat 12mm size 4 for me. I love it! Both rings for about $250. Now that's love. I'll recommend DeBebians to anyone who asks. John W. 4/19/11 I went back and forth with these guys a lot because I am a meticulous mechanical engineer who used 3-D CAD to design my own custom wedding ring with varying luster and a variety of small stones. They had their limitations, but were very up-front with their confidence level in achieving the design. Eventually we were able to jointly come up with the exact dimensions, features, and shade and size of stones which would fulfill my artful vision without taxing their resources and abilities beyond reason. In the end, they were a little nervous but I told them to give it a go anyway. The ring arrived in time for the wedding and looked better than I imagined; however, one of the 5 stones was cracked. Instead of having to send it back, by sales rep told me he was nervous about how brittle the ring is and that any repair attempts could make things worse, so he ordered another ring as a replacement and let me keep the one I had. That was one hell of a deal! So, I used the first ring for the wedding and by the time I came back from the honeymoon, the new ring was waiting for me at home. A few months later I asked for an appraisal for both rings and they are being sent out to me within a few days so I can properly insure the rings. Trying these guys out is what some people would consider risky, but I would consider it smart. Nobody else had the technical capability to make a custom Tungsten Carbide ring like mine, and the price was PHENOMENAL. Three times less than I expected to pay, and I got TWO rings (albeit, one damaged) because of their over-the-top customer service! I will definitely go to these guys again in the future for any custom jobs, but I will try to be less of a pain in the rear. Hahaha.
